MAILI GAUSHALA TRUST
The organization has come up with objectives aiming to address the basic needs of both animals and farmers across Tamil Nadu and beyond.
Maili Gaushala Trust was established on November 15, 2022, where we prioritize the well-being of cows and their progeny, while advocating for the welfare of all animals worldwide. We actively engage with government and judicial bodies to represent animal welfare organizations and ensure their voices are heard in policy-making processes. We provide education and support for women to engage in supplementary activities, manage their health and sanitation needs, and participate in economic activities such as banking and investment.
In addition to promoting sustainable agriculture, we advocate for the conservation of natural resources and the adoption of renewable energy sources. We encourage the cultivation of bio-fuel and medicinal plants, the establishment of food processing units, and the adoption of traditional and alternative medicine practices.
Through collaborative efforts and community engagement, the Maili Gaushala Trust aims to create a future where animals are treated with compassion, farmers thrive sustainably, and rural communities prosper economically and socially.

Our Programs
Maili Gaushala Trust's Goat Farm
Maili Gaushala Trust, renowned for its commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming practices, has initiated a goat farming project as part of its holistic approach to rural development. The main aim is to provide a sustainable source of income for rural farmers, promote the rearing of healthy and high-yielding goat breeds, to demonstrate best practices in goat farming, including proper healthcare, nutrition, and breeding techniques, to support rural communities in adopting goat farming as a viable livelihood option.
Through its innovative approach and community engagement, the project has made significant strides in enhancing rural incomes and fostering self-reliance among farmers.
Marigold Farming Program
Marigold farming has emerged as a profitable agricultural venture, offering farmers a lucrative opportunity to diversify their crops and generate additional income. Marigold, known for its vibrant flowers and medicinal properties, is cultivated extensively for ornamental purposes, religious ceremonies, and the commercial extraction of essential oils. By adopting best practices in cultivation, pest management, and market integration, farmers can optimize yields and capitalize on the growing demand for marigold flowers and value-added products. Our continuous support, as well as that from agricultural extension services, research institutions, and market linkages, is crucial for the sustainable growth of the marigold farming sector.
Rose Plantation Initiative
Rose cultivation, known for its beauty, fragrance, and commercial value, has gained popularity as a profitable venture among farmers worldwide. Roses are cultivated for various purposes, including ornamental use, floral arrangements, and the extraction of essential oils. Rose plantation and the initiative for the same create employment opportunities for farm laborers, nursery workers, and allied industries involved in post-harvest processing and marketing.
Paddy Farming by Maili Gaushala Trust
Maili Gaushala Trust, committed to holistic rural development and sustainable agriculture, has embarked on a paddy farming initiative to promote food security, enhance farmer livelihoods, and conserve traditional farming practices. By empowering farmers with knowledge, inputs, and market access, the trust has contributed to the resilience and prosperity of rural communities engaged in paddy cultivation.

Cotton Breeding Trainings
Maili Gaushala Trust, dedicated to promote sustainable agriculture and rural development, has organized cotton breeding trainings to empower farmers with knowledge and skills in cotton cultivation and breeding techniques, as well as provided farmers with comprehensive training on cotton breeding techniques, including selection of parent plants, hybridization, seed production, and crop management practices. By fostering collaboration, innovation, and capacity building, the trust has contributed to the development of resilient and high-yielding cotton varieties suited to local farming conditions. Continued support and investment in cotton breeding initiatives will be essential to sustain the momentum and realize the full potential of cotton agriculture for rural development.06-Jan-2024
Tree Plantation Trainings
We organized tree plantation trainings as part of its efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and mitigate climate change. These trainings aim to educate farmers and community members about the importance of tree plantations, proper techniques for tree care, and the benefits of agroforestry practices. To raise awareness about the significance of tree planting in combating climate change and environmental degradation. Also to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful tree plantation and management and to encourage community involvement in tree planting initiatives for greening and restoring degraded lands. By equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to plant and care for trees, the trainings have empowered individuals and communities to actively contribute to the restoration and conservation of natural resources.16-Dec-2023
Tree Plantation by School Kids
In collaboration with local schools, Maili Gaushala Trust initiated a tree plantation campaign involving schoolchildren to instill environmental consciousness and promote active participation in conservation efforts. The project aimed to educate students about the importance of trees in mitigating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and improving air quality, while also fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment. By empowering students as environmental stewards and advocates, the project has laid the foundation for a greener, more sustainable future. Gomatha Adoption Program by Maili Gaushala Trust
Maili Gaushala Trust, recognizing the sacred significance of cows (Gomatha) in Indian culture and their critical role in sustainable agriculture, has initiated a Gomatha Adoption Program. This program aims to promote cow welfare, conserve indigenous cattle breeds, and support rural livelihoods by facilitating the adoption of cows by individuals, families, and organizations. The Gomatha Adoption Program has improved the quality of life for adopted cows by providing them with proper care, nutrition, and medical attention. The program has provided income-generating opportunities for rural communities through cow adoption and related activities, contributing to poverty alleviation and economic empowerment. By facilitating the adoption of cows and providing support to adopters, the program has made significant strides in improving the lives of cows and empowering rural communities.Members
